Images from the Norman Petty Recording Studio in Clovis, N.M. Buddy Holly & the Crickets recorded most of their hits there. The studio has been preserved, featuring the same equipment that was used in the late 1950s. The bottom photograph was taken in the living quarters of the studio where the Crickets and other artists relaxed between recording sessions during the studio's heyday. The shelves are lined with decorative items that have been there for more than 50 years. (2012)
